After graduated from Aix en Provence Law University with diplomas of Magistère Droit des Affaires Fiscalité Comptabilité, Diplôme de Juriste Conseil en Entreprise, DESS Commerce Extérieur and Certificat d’Aptitude à la Profession d’Avocat, Florence Cuzzi began her career as a lawyer in 1994, first at the Paris Bar and then at the Marseille Bar.

Her career in international law firms both in Paris (Watson, Farley & Williams) and Marseille (PwC Société d’Avocats, Ernst & Young) as well as an experience as legal manager in a maritime company (Sea Tankers) have given her the opportunity to develop her expertise in business law, whether in French or English language, and to better understand the issues of the business world, both domestically and internationally.

In addition to business law issues, (such as companies’ acquisitions, commercial development/contractual negotiations, mergers and restructuring process, etc…), her expertise in a maritime company has enabled her to develop specific expertise in the following scopes:

  • Sale or purchase of vessels whether newbuilding or second hand vessels;
  • Shipbuilding contracts;
  • charter agreements ;
  • Various schemes of maritime financing (such as mortgage financing, financing lease, or tax lease) ;

For all other legal fields where Florence does not have any specific expertise, she works closely with a team of highly qualified lawyers in the following matters:

  • Tax law
  • Social law,
  • IP/IT law,
  • Insolvency law,
  • Business litigation (commercial, tax, social litigation).
